Walter Smelt is a writer and a professor of English and humanities at Bunker Hill Community College and Berklee College of Music. He also teaches creative writing for GrubStreet. His poems have appeared in Colorado Review, Redivider, Subtropics, and Peripheries, and his translations of poems from Spanish in Harvard Divinity Bulletin and The Battersea Review. He has been awarded residencies by Hortus Arboretum and Orein Arts.
