Joyce Hayden is a writer, teacher, and visual artist. She is the author of the chapbook Lost Handprint. A former English instructor at Westfield State University, Joyce has led Amherst Writers and Artists (AWAI) formatted workshops for under-served populations since 1996. She has taught a weekly on-line Ekphrastic writing class since the pandemic began and teaches other craft classes as well. Her work has appeared in Cimarron Review, Al Jazeera, The Manifest Station, The Dandelion Review, Hobart Pulp, and Straw Dog Writers Guild Pandemic Poetry and Prose: Writing in the Time of Corona.
