I have been working in an all-boys school for 14 years. This year MC became a co-divisional (not coed) school admitting girls. I actually have an all boys Learning Commons and an all girls Learning Commons, with my office in the middle. I would love to talk about how to manage this truly unique adventure. As most high school librarians, I am always trying to collaborate with teachers and come up with new methods of introducing research skills into the curriculum to ensure that our students will be ready for college level research. Do you have a program or course that introduces students to literacy skills and research and if so do you start the program or course with the freshman? Is your program taught with other teachers through their classes or is it a stand alone course in the library. Would love to know more!
